With her new single “Dopamine High”, the 20-year-old emerging Swedish artist named Yaeger lets us enter her world; a bubbly, adventurous and yellow one, with surprises in every corner. The single is inspired by the ecstatic and releasing experience at raves, where the story of “Dopamine High” takes place. It’s about two young lovers, who after an intimate and electric first meeting, they do not dare to let their desires guide them back to each other. Instead, they get caught up in careers. Each hurrying, and looking for something they cannot define. The core feeling of the song is the thrilling moment when they meet again and ignore all the questions about when and why. “It’s that Dopamine High of feeling alive”, Yaeger explains.
Toffe is a 27-year old Swedish artist originally from Kalmar, now based in Stockholm. The multi-instrumentalist writes and produces his own material and since early 2017 has released three singles achieving New Music Friday across all Nordic regions. Inspired by music legends such as Peter Gabriel, Frank Zappa and Genesis resulting in an eclectic mix of electronica and organic topped with soaring pop melodies.
His talents have also been recognised by film director David Sandberg, contributing to the soundtrack of the highly successful indie movie ‘Kung Fury‘ with additional material on the soon to be released Kung Fury ‘Lost Tapes’ Limited Edition Vinyl.
Toffe takes indie-electro to a place Sweden often swerves. He is set aside from his peers with a full-on assault of beats and soaring vocals reminiscent of Michael Angelakos. With the release of his fourth single ‘Riverside’ approaching and an EP close behind this year is set to be an exciting one for Toffe.
