Patrik Jean – Loved You Once

Patrik Jean

Patrik Jean is a Swedish artist and songwriter from Stockholm. Growing up in a big family, music quickly became his way to be heard. Throughout the last few years, while writing songs for other artists he has kept the most personal ones for himself. The time has come to share those very honest and emotional stories, with three singles and a six track EP coming this spring. In soulful pop songs he sings about guys and girls breaking his heart, and the phases you go through getting over someone.

Patrik Jean has written two singles for Felix Jaehn, one of which was number one on the German Airplay Chart, and he is featured on the latest album.

He wrote last year’s Danish summer anthem “Mad For It”, released by TooManyLeftHands.

He ended 2017 with writing “Treading Water” for Swedish Idol winner Chris Kläfford that went number one on the airplay chart, as well as Sweden Top 50 and Global Viral 50 on Spotify.
First release of 2018 was Low Life by Soleima, which ended up on the US Viral chart and on British BBC radio 1.

Captain Kidd – Wild

Captain Kidd

Captain Kidd are a product of the ever-growing Columbus, Ohio music scene. The psychedelic pop infused 4-piece returns after the soulful, chill vibes of singles “Stay” and “Wild,” with their newest track “Bleed.” Propelled by the success of their first single Freaky Love, Captain Kidd’s evolution has taken them from the dive clubs of northeast and central Ohio, to supporting the likes of Glass Animals, Capital Cities, Wiz Khalifa, and Griz at some of the country’s premier music festivals.

Captain Kidd can be characterized by spacey synths blended with sultry vocals. The band has captured the attention of listeners from New York to New Zealand. This dynamic mixture of song writing elements has cultivated a sound that has been described as “fresh,” “dance-able,” and “celestial.”
Captain Kidd is coming off a stellar release of “Wild,” which premiered on December 8, 2017. Since then, the song has garnered some serious buzz with its addition to Spotify’s New Music Friday (2.4 Million Followers) and charting on Spotify’s USA Viral Top 50. The song also secured the #1 spot on Hype Machine’s Top 50 Popular List and was featured on I Heart Radio’s “6 Songs We’re Obsessed With This Week.” Captain Kidd is…
Nathan Baumgard – Guitar/Lead Vocals
Eric Blaha – Guitar/Synthesizers
Stewart Weinland – Synthesizers
Nick Samson – Drums/Backing Vocals

“Bleed” was the product of a weekend-long cabin getaway to middle of nowhere southern Ohio.  We initially went to the cabin to work on a couple of existing ideas we had been struggling with, but ended up writing several new ideas via some impromptu jam sessions – one of which turned into this track. We wanted “Bleed” to feel nostalgic, like a fond look back on some forgotten, perfect summer day that really never existed except in our memory of it.

Psychedelic pop infused four-piece, Captain Kidd once again showcase their songwriting capabilities with ‘LIMIT’. ‘Indietronica’

Speaking of the track, they explain

“Limit” is our most collaborative effort as a band yet. We bounced a ton of ideas off each other and really stuck to our decision to not overthink anything, but rather let the song develop naturally as those ideas poured out. We had fun with this one. We were watching 007 Casino Royale and thought, “hey let’s write a James Bond dance song.””

Alternative beat pop from Aarhus, Denmark.

EIRENE’s sounds are characterized by the use of samplers, synthesizers and programmed punchy beats. The purposely recorded lo-fi samples contribute to the airy and dreamy universe which is constantly kept on the move by catchy gimmicks and danceable rhythms. Moreover, the
characteristic and laid back lead vocal complete the catchy chorusses and the unique and appealing sound which EIRENE has created.

“It’s easy to hear that EIRENE are very fond of ‘stabs’. POW POW POW
. Insanely nice to dance to” – Nicholas Kawamura, DR P3 radio

“One immediately senses that ‘Times’ is a great pop piece. The band has found a this golden path by borrowing elements from hip hop in their drums and bass. Pretty nice. On top of that grandiose synth and compelling vocals. We can’t help but dance to this rhythm”.
