Sami nathan – in motion

Sami Nathan was born and raised in north London, and started playing the piano and singing from her early years. The scale and diversity of London, the neighborhoods she grew up in, its rich music scene has always blown her away with its musical influence and continues to be an important source of inspiration and energy for her.

She started recording properly at 18 and landed into song writing in 2011 when she signed with Bucks Music Group.

That phase included collaborating with Jake Gosling, No ID, Brian Kennedy, MNEK and participating in writing camps in LA, Australia, Sweden and Norway. She learned a lot!

Joining forces with Jake Gosling she wrote and featured on the soundtrack to Twenty8k a UK thriller film, the album also featured Ghetts and Mikill Pane. This followed with working alongside Rudimental’s featuring artist Syron, where Sami wrote first single “Breaking” which was well received with airplay on Radio 1, 1Xtra, MTV.

Sami Nathan went on to work with Jessica Mauboy and Kennedy whom she co-wrote the track “Go (I don’t need you)” for her platinum selling album “Beautiful”.

While Sami Nathan is a born collaborator and continues to develop that element of her work, in 2018 she turned more towards herself, emphasising developing her own music expressions from her heart, reflecting on the journey and experiences she has witnessed growing up in London, the ups and downs of trying to find a way as an artist and a young woman. Honing in on her powerhouse vocals to convey the emotions within her songwriting.

This resulted in the release of ‘Fossilised’ in January this year and with ‘In Motion’ set for release in May, 2019 marks an important new chapter in Sami’s journey.

Luna Bay – Hometown

Luna Bay

Luna Bay continue to establish themselves as one of the UK’s brightest new indie pop bands on their latest cut ‘Hometown’. The band’s first release since bursting onto the scene last year with tracks ‘Smoke And Mirrors’ & ‘Colours’. John Kennedy at Radio X and Huw Stephens on Radio 1 both count themselves as fans and the songs amassed a combined total of 1.7 million streams. While we’re constantly being told guitar bands don’t stream this is a staggering achievement for such a new act and comes down to having tracks that lyrically and melodically resonate with people.

“A soaring return [Smoke & Mirrors], it’s impetuous nature is sure to delight fans” – Clash Magazine

This summer the band play a number of festivals including Y Not and Truck Festival and will be announcing Autumn tour dates very soon.

Hailing from different parts of the country and meeting at college in London, Luna Bay are lead singer and guitarist Connor O’Mara (London), bassist Sammy Penniston (Buckinghamshire), guitarist Rye Milligan (Cardigan Bay) and drummer Alex Ross (Suffolk).
