The brand new EP from The Dukes of Bevington.
All music written and arranged by The Dukes of Bevington
Recorded and Produced by Hazel Plummer at Purple Studios, Leeds
The Dukes of Bevington are passionate about delivering new, different, exciting music; far from the common styles that often dominate young bands. Mixing adventurous bass riffs, epic guitar melodies, sing-along vocals and pumping drums; the 3 boys are definitely their own, providing you with a new take on the light-hearted, Indy Pop-Rock which we have been missing.
Emerging as a local favourite amongst all ages The Dukes of Bevington are looking to push their music as far as they can, writing songs to suit everyone’s ears. The Dukes of Bevington show is definitely one not to be missed; they will leave you breathless after packing so much energy and enthusiasm on stage. These guys love to perform as much as you will love to listen to them.
The Dukes of Bevington family is a very close one; all 3 guys born and bred in the heart of Yorkshire, studying music at St. Aidan’s Harrogate together, have a bond and chemistry that enables them to work so closely on their music. Keep an eye on these lads as they are bound to go far!!

Debut EP- Released January 2013.
General Roots are a six piece reggae band created in 2008. Growing up in the same area of North London with a shared love of dub, dancehall and roots reggae, they were eager to reignite the power and flavor of the reggae movement through the latter part of the 20th century. The Generals are on a mission to bring a new sound to people’s ears whilst capturing the classic sound and feel that was coming out of Jamaica during the 1970′s and 80′s. General Roots live shows come with high energy vibes and feel good sound, Guaranteed!
Field Marshall Fred and The Minister always lead the crowd into battle, supported by dark echoes and treble heavy chops from guitarist Joe Price, powerful keys from King Solomon Boundy and the best rhythm section in town, James and Ben McKone. The combination of dark dub, lovers rock and dancehall with attitude always keep the audience on their feet, with the riddims dictating which way to bump, grind and skank!
The band are quickly making a name for themselves on the live circuit with 2012 & 2013 proving busy years. Performances at festivals such as Outlook (Croatia), Secret Garden Party (UK), Boomtown Fair (UK) & Soundwave (Croatia) and touring and supporting with the likes of Channel One Soundsystem, Gentleman’s Dub Club, The Mighty Diamonds, Top Cat, Congo Natty, Laid Blak, Terry Hall (The Specials), SHY FX, The Heatwave, Mala & Many more!
Make sure you catch them live to capture the raw sound and vibe that the Generals bring! SALUTE!
Face + Heel, aka Luke Taylor and Sinead McMillan, started working together in Jan 2012 and have been gaining plaudits over the last year for the excellent ‘No Stars EP’ on Warm Records and their self released ‘Chipped Tooth EP’.
They’ve already supported artists such as Blondes, Matthew Dear, Orbital, NZCA/Lines, Portico Quartet, AlunaGeorge and oOoOO in the last 18 months, and have tucked away some superb festival shows under their belts at the Great Escape, Lovebox, Garden Festival, L.E.V, and Simple Things.
Having been tipped by the Boiler Room founders as the ones to watch after their acclaimed live set back in April 2013 the band have the sights set on conquering 2014.
“They manage to combine delicate piano and vocals with deep synths and rhythmic elements of house and garage to create ambitious and thoughtful live electronica.” (Crack Magazine)
“An elegiac instrumental featuring a percussion break resembling the distinct, metal-on-metal rattling of trains rolling over railroad switches, altogether building a song both earthbound and angelic.” (Fader)
“No Stars crafts a profound synth-heavy soundscape that is adorned with moaned, soulful vocals and sparse bassline, resulting in an immensely dark, forlorn and atmospheric ballad” (Dummy)
“intricate electronic compositions with an acute focus on songcraft” (XLR8R)

HANNAH WANTS // MIXTAPE 1114 (eleven-fourteen) // NOVEMBER 2014
It’s that time again… I’ve dropped this a day early due to a hectic weekend of gigs and to make sure it’s available for your Halloween weekend!
This mix contains 23 tracks that I’m feeling and as always from a variety of genres. I’m rinsing some of these bangers on the dance-floor right now and the others I’m just absolutely in love with.
My mixtape’s are my 80 minute journey of music, my way to explore, express and share my passion. From all sub genres of house music to my outro’s which usually go deep and downtempo, another kind of music I listen to religiously.
Searching for the music and then making them literally takes me days and days but mixtape making is something I really love to do. I hope you enjoy them as much as I love making them!
Big appreciation to all of the producers featured, loving your work! <3<br />

Buzzy guitars, loops, synth, tight drums and sweet vocals transport you from reality to a fairytale world where everything is colourful if a little distorted!
A 3 Piece from the South coast of England. Arp Attack are made up of:
Frankie Murdoch – Grew up in West London and moved down south be closer to sea and study at Audio Technology. She likes to dance like a silly, take pictures and sing songs as well as finding the most exciting new music.
Chris Smallwood – From a small town in the Midlands moved south to escape the quiet country life. An avid gig goer, film fanatic and comedy eccentric as well as a wizz on the guitar and synths.
Kevin Jones – Born and bred down South, musically educated in the East. A fan of theatre and timeless rock but a weird and wonderful indie kid at heart. He bangs the drums. Hard
