Bri Tolani – Don’t Let Go

Bri Tolani

Bri Tolani described as “Breathy Kate Bush meets Sarah Barthel vocals and fluorescent lush radiance come at us like a fusion of M83, Chvrches, and The Jezabels.” – I Heart Moosiq.

“With their own unique blend of neon pop and electronica that would effortlessly fit into any John Hughes soundtrack!” – The Daily Listening (Pick of the Week)

“Ethereal vocals come together with intense synth pop melodies.” – Diamond Deposit

‘Easy Line’ is the debut single from Sol Flare and the perfect introduction to their 80s-inspired electro pop. Euphoric synths, a driving beat and glacial guitars provide the perfect backdrop to a soaring, soulful vocal. The single is released on XX April via iTunes, Spotify and Bandcamp.

After moving to London from Australia, Dominic Wood began the project collaborating with guest vocalists. It soon earned them their first official release with ‘Silver Moon’ on Global Underground’s Electric Calm mix by Trafik.

The collaborations solidified when Dom met singer Jenny Jones.  Having previously supported The Cure and New Order with Cumbrian rock five-piece Birds vs Planes, she easily gelled with the new 80s inspired material.  They were later joined by guitarist Matt Marlow who brought his collection of effects pedals and love of shoegaze from his previous bands, The Prison Library and Waiting for Winter.

With the lineup complete, Sol Flare have received airplay from 6 Music, Amazing Radio and BBC Cumbria for their tracks ‘Not Holding On’, ‘Find You’ and ‘Hide’, supported the likes of Dream Wife, Lisbon Kid, EKKOES and Empathy Test, and played the Blue Dot and Kendal Calling festivals. The band also recently filmed a session for London Live to promote the single along with live dates across the UK.

Pianist. Guitarist. Vocalist.

Melissa has been writing music since she taught herself four chords on a keyboard almost 13 years ago.

As a way of escaping her difficult upbringing, Mel lived and survived through her music and now wants to share and connect with people through those songs.
